January 25th, 2008

No, not in government. Government is still adding jobs.

Amongst taxpayers. Here’s the story, from “In Business Las Vegas.”

“125% of your house value available for loans”, “interest rates of 1%”, “No application turned down”. Sound familiar? Well, guess who takes advantage of these type of deals? You guessed it…irresponsible, dare I say it, stupid people. While it is not against the law to be stupid, it is against common sense and fair play to expect the ant to bail out the grasshopper. This result is predictable. Here’s what will happen:

The Government will bail out these stupid people long enough to get reelected. These people will lose their houses anyway, and not save their money (though they will take trips around the world and buy toys to “boost the economy”). Smart businessmen will pick up these houses at pennies on the dollar, fix them up, and resell them in a couple of years to the few Americans who are responsible enough to qualify for loans. These business men will be castigated by politicians for being “lucky”, “greedy”, and “rich”. Therefore, they should be taxed. Meanwhile, the deficit will continue to swell to provide worthless jobs, welfare, unemployment payments, earned income credits, services, education, and other benefits to already lazy and stupid people.

Therefore, the smart will be penalized and the stupid will be rewarded. Does anyone else see something wrong with this picture????

  2. Jim Nance Says:

The solution to these private job layoffs is to raise taxes.

The solution to all problems to is to raise taxes.

    Get with program….Senator Beers.

  3. Lee S Gliddon Jr Says:

If the truth were known there is no’shortfall.’ At this time there is a slowdown in collection of taxes. Before the housing slowdown there was a ‘rash of sales’ that was unwarranted. Prices ose as idiots got loans from other idiots to finance home loans that WOULD NEVER BE PAID OFF!

Mortgage Lenders paid bonuses to any that brought in loan requests and paid out money only to see the loans default.

Now there is a request…’raise their taxes.’ Why? So the pols can kep spending!

    Building continues…no water…no proper infrastructure…no fire and police services…yet…KEEP BUILDING…KEEP BUILDING.

Either get the money from the Casinos or wait until collections rise! NO MORE TAXES ON THE POPULACE!

  5. Jim Nance Says:

We need to raise taxes. That is the best solution.

The government could employ everybody and then there will be no lay offs.

    Problem solved!

  6. Jim Nance Says:

If we all worked for the government then we would:

    1. Get full (or close to it) salary when we retire
    2. Excellect health care benefits both before and after retirement
    3. Little movivation to improve service for there are no market forces in play
    4. No concern for layoffs for the government will just raise taxes if revenue falls short
    5. 8 hour work days or overtime if we worked over 8 hours
    6. Every holiday off
    7. Once you are hired then it is almost impossible to get fired.

Raise taxes to 100% so that we can work for the government.

  7. Lee S Gliddon Jr Says:

If we all worked for the government…Who would there be to pay our salaries?

  8. Jim Nance Says:

You should read/listen to Ralston and the Vegas Sun. They say to solve all problems is to raise taxes. They must know what they are talking about.

I am sure that they have worked out that problem if everybody is working for the government then who will pay taxes thingy.

  9. Ernest Fitzpatrick Says:

Jim, if you asked everyone I know, and there are hundreds of people I know, they will tell that I am never at a loss for words. However, you have truly left me speechless with your incredible insight. Especially the part about the “pay taxes thingy.”
    Thingy!!
I can only guess that you must have gathered your keen political insight from the comic strips that came fresh out of the Bazooka Bubble Gum Wrapper. Please for the love of anything holy, tell me you are NOT a government employee.
And by the way, Jim thanks for pointing out that if I was an inept employee for the government, I still wouldn’t lose my job. That is usually a proviso that is always put in by your incredible thinking Democratic politicians. Oh yeah, lastly, leave my taxes alone !!

  10. Richard Says:
