   Yep, smoking is very unpopular, very unhealthy and not good image-making…but let’s be real here. The man has an addiction that is shared by millions of Americans, sadly enough. Will this make Obama less fit to lead? Will the smoke cloud his thinking? Does this mean his entire candidacy is ’smoke’ and mirrors? I THINK NOT. Yes, it’s a shame the man has a bad habit that may impact his health and then again he may quit, and yes he’s attempted to downplay it and not be seen smoking. Hell, I have a co-worker that I like that smokes…never during work hours *(at least I’ve never caught him doing so, but I know he does) and he admits it. The point is that he does his job really well.
   My bet is that President Obama will as well…and hopefully he’ll be so busy he’ll actually quit!

   BO is a secret smoker, a reformed homosexual and the son of
   a Muslim. Despite all of these things, he most likely will win because we don’t have a decent candidate. Yes, I will vote for McCain while holding my nose, but I’m sure many will
   just sit this one out while BO gives away the rest of our country and takes the military into Africa to help all of their idiotic problems. The world will move into the New World Order and the illegals will finish taking over our
   country. President BO? It stinks!

   The fact that this is coming out this late in the campaign shows how little we really do know about the man so likely to be our next President.This is what should frighten the public.

   Helen, you are just playing into the hands of your handlers. I have to admit, that you are far better than those that “sit it out”. I really do not care if you want to ruin your life by voting for one of the “evils” (even if you have to hold your nose), but why do you have to take the rest of us with you? Remember, you cannot hold your nose forever, and the garbage is still there even though you are holding your nose. Obama smokes, so what? He is a figure head for the new Socialist movement in America. I would not care if he was a green Martian and smoked space dust. His approach is scarey and he has done nothing to analyze the results of his proposed actions. He just makes statements like we will “change” and have “hope” while I shower you with “free health insurance” and “tax the rich”. If all this worked, we would be in tall cotton now. Helen, the only thing that works is Americans working hard and taking care of each other. Strong central Government is oppressive Government. Always thoughout history, this has been the case. So, go ahead. Hold your nose. Follow the false Gods and idols. It is just human nature and we do not want to mess with that, do we? After all, that is the way our forefathers got us into all this freedom and free enterprise mess in the first place. If you think it is best to be taken care of by others, why avoid the hypocracy. Lets just get it over with and have a dictator. We are quickly on that road now. I would brush up on my Chinese, Arabic, and Spanish, but I do not think I would survive the first few weeks of such a transformation. I guess we have a lot of people who would welcome it. Oh,well, it was a great ride while it lasted.

   Somehow, it all seems like we are living a bad dream. First off, in a civilized country like our great USA, with some 300,000,000 souls, all we can come up with to run for president is the sad sack bunch that we have. This is surely the beginning of the end for our great society.

   As for Obama, give it some thought folks …….. here is a neophite, with only 2+ years of national experience (most of that in running/planning for the presidency), and he wants us to believe that he is ready to run our complex country. This is insane, it really is.

   Smoke and Mirrors, indeed!

   Hey Steve, you know what, you are almost as cynical as I am.

   As for Obamma, just look what magificent legislation is just putting through congress. He wants us to give over 7% of GDP to the UN for the poor Africans. Oops, I forgot, that’s what he considers his home town. Great, we go from Mexico kissing G. Bush to Africa loving Obamma.

   Good thing we don’t have a border with Africa.

   He spoke about it months ago on 60 minutes in an interview with his wife. I believe the question was what would people be surprised to know. He said he was a heavy smoker and wished he could quit.

   I don’t think we should hold the fact that his parent and step parent raised him Muslim agaist him any more than Huckabee was raised Southern Baptist or Kennedy was raised Catholic. He attends the United Church of Christ as an adult.

   Last time I looked freedom of religion was a right in this country.

   We know more about him than we ever knew before W was elected. I wish we had been more dilegent there.

   Actually, Obama’s inexperience is his best qualification. I see nothing that experienced politicians have gotten us but more in debt and less prosperous (although they have done rather well for themselves). Not that I think Obama is anything but a false God to most of his followers, but normal citizens with no political experience would do a far better job than what we have……as long as we rotate them through these jobs.

    Barak Obama is an uninformed orator with no idea as to how to fill the shoes of a President. His thoughts are ill conceived as are his ’stump antica.’ Swooning followers…Gimme a break!
