Being smart means cleaning out Congress, the federal courts, and electing someone besides one of the current 3 front-running presidential candidates. That will require intelligent, informed voters, and honest, non-pandering, political candidates. Big order. Good luck to us! Democrats and Republicans are both leaning heavily towards socialism. Socialism has been tried extensively throughout the 20th century and it is a failure. In some circles I was known as "the Republican". I have had plenty of debates, some of them heated, and actually found that some people do listen. Maybe not enough to swing them to the right side of the aisle, but enough to have a more open mind of just what a Republican really is. I think it is a fair statement that Sen. Beers made. Unwillingness to listen and learn, with an open mind, is all I can say about the 'main stream Liberal! They label anyone in Office relating truth about a Liberal as a 'smear monger,' yet are quick to 'spin the truth' to hide the most horrendous of acts by their Elected Officials! Double standard?
