Mineral County Asks For Help

March 14th, 2008

I got this from a number of Nevadans up in Mineral County this week. They are trying to fight off a group of people from the east coast who have never been to Central Nevada and likely never will, but who are intent on closing access to public lands to everyone. This would devastate the livelihoods of nearly everyone in Mineral County.

One Response to “Mineral County Asks For Help”

  1. Steve Says:

You ALL better jump on this. These “environmental” organizations are simply trying to impose their will on Nevada in the cheapest and most cowardly way they can. Remember, the Sierra Club caused the State of Nevada to expend $30M more on our freeway through a court in California. Unfortunately this tactic works because donations to our Congress drive the legislation, no matter how boneheaded. 80% of Nevada is owned by the Federal Government. BLM needs to turn over this land to Nevada, not cordon off more.

If these “patriots” wanted to preserve the land, they would dig into their own pockets and do it instead of using our money to do it. Again, YOU MUST RESIST THIS VIGOROUSLY. Don’t let Mineral County go the way of Clark County.
