How Many Illegal Immigrants On Dole?
November 30th, 2007A new study from the Center For Immigration Studies says a third of the record 40-million legal and illegal aliens now in the United States are on one or another public assistance program, but it doesn’t pin down how many are illegal.
Nevada, the percentage of our population who are immigrants has grown steadily, and we’re now tied for the fifth highest.

I believe that the reason why there has been a significant reduction both here and in other states in the enrollments into elementary schools and high schools is because there has been a considerable drop in amount of new illegal children crossing the border.
This proves that uncontrolled illegal immigrant has a tremendous negative impact on our school systems. The same is probably true for our medical and public safety systems too.

It appears as though your headline may be in error. The study indicates that there are 37.9 legal and illegal immigrants, and that 33% of immigrant headed households are using at least one major welfare program. Your headline is “12.5 million illegal immigrants on dole,” but that seems to assume that all immigrant headed households on welfare are illegals. I didn’t see that in the article, but then I didn’t read it all. It might be worth checking.

How much of our bond inititive for new schools will be used by illegal aliens? This state would have a surplus were it not
for the extra services we’re doling out. Like running the
free Nevada check up in Spanish!! Americans are sick and tired

I have read the illegal aliens throughout the United States are using an estimated 10 million barrels of gasoline and 4-5 million barrels of heating oil a year; can anyone verify this?Creating safe harbors and providing benefits for illegals only encourages them to illegally enter the United States.

I was under the impression that you cannot legally immigrate to this country unless you show that you can support yourself.
If we are allowing legal immigrants to come and to be on welfare then that is a just a problem as having the illegals on welfare too.

The short of it is, if allowed to go unchecked (Illegal entry) our Grandchildren will be the MINORITY in their own nation! Too boot, they will be footing the bill for people that refuse to work, use our hospitals as their ‘medical gatekeepers,’ and continue to complain about not getting enough!
