Highlights:

At the beginning of the year, Government represented 12.02% of Nevada’s jobs.
Although it is just a small portion of overall jobs, it provided 69% of the new jobs created during 2007.

Payroll Tax down 10%
Health Insurance tax down 10%
Unemployment at a five year high
Job growth at a five year low
Tax on buying a home down 25%

Nevada Employment Stats Updated

The state has just released Nevada’s November statistics. Highlights include:

So far this year, Nevada has added 10,400 jobs, with just under half that amount being added in Government.
The highest paying economic sector is government.
Our tourist economy is mostly holding its own. Our construction economy is in the tank.
